10 year old Glen Davenport was reported as missing to the police in the early evening of February 3rd. Glen was terrified of the dark and when he wasn't home as evening was approaching; everyone knew something was wrong.

After trying to report Glen as missing (to the police officer who came to our house; who acted like it was a waste of his time to be there); my parents, friends, and neighbors began searching for Glen. They looked everywhere they could think of that Glen was known to go.

One of the places searced was a lot of land on Mayflower St; just down the street from our house on Wolfe St. The kids in the neighborhood often played there, and had (about a week before)  put a rope swing up from a branch of the tree that was in the  yard of an old vacant, abandoned house on that lot.  People searched that lot multiple times througout the night, calling Glen by his name and nickname. The last search was around 4:00 a.m.  Glen was not there during any of the searches, not even the last one at 4:00 a.m.

But then just a few hours later (around 7:30 a.m.- 7:45 a.m.; Glen's body was found. That means that someone put Glen or his body there sometime after the last search of the area at around 4:00 a.m. and before the sun had come up; giving enough light for anyone driving by or walking by on Mayflower St. and anyone living in any of the inhabited houses around there to see what was going on.   He was in a kneeling position; with the rope swing around his neck. Glen's feet were touching the ground and the toes of his shoes were pushed into the ground. The first police officer or officers to arrive made comments that the rope was not tight enough to have killed Glen; and to our father "That rope is not what killed your boy".  Everyone from the neighborhood that had a chance to see Glen there before his body was taken down, said that it looked too much like Glen or his body had been propped up. And that the rope swing was only used to prop up his body.

But then when the detectives and investigators took over, they began to ignore everything that was suspicious. They ignored the witness statements that Glen was not there during any of the searches; not even the last one.

Glen's would not have stayed out all night; in the dark and cold (not even zipping up his jacket). He would not have waited until the searchers left the area at 4:00 a.m. and then gone to play on the rope swing. He would have come home for dinner; as he was excited about what was for dinner that night. If Glen had been conscious or alive; he could have and would have stood up to save himself. The rope was not tight enough to cut off his air supply.

At the funeral home, my father and a brother-in-law noticed dirt under Glen's fingernails. Everyone that knew Glen knew that that was not normal. Glen couldn't stand to be dirty or even to be sticky from candy, etc.
My father noticed bruises around Glen's mouth and said that it looked like someone had had a hand over Glen's mouth. Being that there was an old abandoned house so very close to where the tree with the rope swing was; it makes sense that since Glen was not out in the open, under that tree during any of the searches; that someone might have been holding him against his will in that old house; with a hand over his mouth to try to keep him quiet with the searchers so close by.

Despite all the suspicous things; Glen's death was ruled an "accidental" death.

I have found out within the last several months that less than 4 hours after Glen's body was found; it was sent to a funeral home to be embalmed, before an autopsy could be done.  And that it was done without the signed release by someone in Glen's family for that to be done; as was stated as being required on the papers.
Why was there such a rush to have his body embalmed before an autopsy could be done? After Glen's body was allowed to be embalmed so quicly after being found; it sat overnight at the M.E.'s Office awaiting autopsy. Shouldn't the rush have been to do an autopsy first; rather than an embalment first?
